Why Call Hero exists

Built by a nurse who never wanted to choose between the patient and the phone

I spent several years nursing in hospitals across rural and regional NSW. Every shift came back to one rule: the patient in front of you gets your full attention.

The phone doesn’t follow that rule. It rings mid-assessment, mid-procedure, mid-conversation with someone who’s frightened. In a small team there’s often nobody else to grab it. You either step away from the person who needs you, or you let it ring and hope they call back.

Many don’t. In the city, they book somewhere else. In the country, the next clinic might be an hour’s drive away, so sometimes they just don’t book at all. A new patient you never meet. A follow-up that quietly slips. Either way, someone trying to get care didn’t get it.

I built Jade so nobody in your clinic has to make that choice. She answers every call, books and reschedules appointments, and takes clear messages for your team. She never gives clinical advice, and if a caller describes an emergency, she tells them to call 000 straight away.

You look after the patient in front of you. Jade looks after the one on the phone.
